Win a Destiny Inspired Necklace from Otaku Express!

You just never know when you are going to meet a kindred spirit.  Recently, I was working on a Birthday Bash segment on my review blog. I was featuring toys, clothes and accessories for kids and tweens. In my travels, I came across Otaku Express. I thought their cute Anime and video game inspired jewelry was perfect for my children.  So I contacted them about a review, and they offered to make me a more custom piece, possibly using my New Age Mama logo. I thought about it and asked if they could use my book cover instead. So they checked out my book, and guess what, they are pagan too! This discovery led to lots of emails back and forth and I feel like the owner of the shop, Kaiya, and I are becoming real friends.

The Destiny inspired necklace is a masterpiece. Kaiya used the two major symbols of the story, which are the white rose and the pentacle necklace, and came up with a unique and original design that I am proud to have associated with my story.   The painted acrylic  has the look of stained glass, and is enhanced by sparkling silver paint to give it the smoky look from the book. The rose and pentacle dangle from a long silver tone chain and she added a  few little silver moon and star charms to give it that extra witchy flare. I love her work and couldn't ask for a better representation.  You can pick up one these awesome necklaces for only $9 in her Store Envy shop.

Kaiya was also nice enough to send send along a little something for my daughter. Spottz the customizable puppy is a fun and cute piece that both kids and adults will love. My daughter loved the long fluffy tail and his cute little green eyes. She can wear him as a necklace or hang him from her book bag. They can be made in any color and kids can even color their own dog or cat and Kaiya will mimic the design in acrylic to make it a really personal piece. At only $5, this is a cute idea for a gift or a back to school accessory.

Another Awesome Destiny Review at Maria's Space!

I have been a long time follower of the  Maria's Space blog. I noticed that some of the books she reviewed seemed to be fantasy related and I also loved the fact that she calls her daughter Goddess. So I asked her if she would like to do a review of Destiny. I was thrilled when she accepted and even more excited when I read the glowing review she posted today. I know from reading Maria's blog that she does not mince words and if she didn't like it, she would have said so, even if it hurt my feelings. So the fact that she likes it, it a true honor. Check out Maria's review here.  She is also hosting a giveaway for me. You can win a signed copy of Destiny and a package of incense!  While you're there, be sure to subscribe and/or follow her blog and enter all her other awesome  giveaways!
