#Phantom is Coming! Win a Phantom Jewelry Box and $10 GC from the MdoubleM Etsy Shop
If you read my review blog, you will know I am all about recycling and doing what I can to live a green life style. Yet, if there is one thing I hate to see go into a recycling bin, its a book. Even if its old and worn and missing some pages, my respect for the written word makes me what to hold onto those classic treasures. But what to do you do with a book that is too far gone? Instead of tossing it into the trash heap, why not make it into something fun and functional? That is exactly what the MdoubleM Etsy Shop does. They take pages from some of your favorite novels, and make them into jewelry boxes and other decoupage decor. So every time you reach for a pair of earrings or a bracelet, poetic phrases from your favorite books will be staring back up at you.
In addition to their boxes, MdoubleM Etsy Shop also creates custom pictures frames, ornaments, and candle holders using book pages, maps, and old music sheets What a wonderful way to upcycle! But wait, there is still more. They also create handmade garlands and custom etched champagne glasses. This is the perfect place to shop for a truly unique gift for any occasion.
One of my favorites boxes at MdoubleM is the Phantom trinket box. If you've ever read Gaston Leroux's famous novel, you will know its a lot different than the musical, but it still holds a charm all its own. Like all versions of the Phantom, the original leaves you captivated by the dark and mysterious Erik. This box is a one of a kind, and a great way to commemorate this classic tale.

#Phantom is Coming! Win a Phantom of the Opera Necklace from Amber Sunset!
I have always loved bottle cap jewelry. They are a wonderful way to reduce, reuse and recycle. Instead of tossing those caps in an ever growing pile of trash, shops like Amber Sunset are using them to create fun and funky jewelry like earrings and necklaces. You can put pretty much any design on them, and they are an affordable option for kids. What I really like about Amber Sunset is that they have lots of options that appeal to boys, like Sonic and Pokemon, which is something that isn't always easy to find. But there are also plenty of choices for the girls. My daughter loves the Beauty and the Beast earrings! With Easter/Ostara coming up next month, these pretty trinkets would be a fun surprise to find inside one of those plastic eggs. And at only $5 for a necklace or $10 for earrings, you can afford to get one for each of the kids.
The item that caught my eye the in the Amber Sunset Etsy Shop was, of course, the Phantom of the Opera Necklace. It shows the classic image that is the signature of Andrew Lloyd Weber's play. Each pendant is made from glossy paper that is sealed in an epoxy dome. It even comes with a lovely 24 inch silver plated ball chain. This is a must have for any Phantom lover. In addition to the pendant, you can also pick up a matching set of earrings.
To help celebrate the release of Phantom, one lucky winner is going to receive the adorable Phantom of the Opera necklace shown in the photo above. #Phantom is Coming! Win a Phantom of the Opera Inspired Headband from Clockwork Cranium
Clockwork Cranium is a place where the whimsical comes to life. At this little Etsy shop, you can find headpieces and jewelty with a sort of retro charm. Most of their pieces are inspired by the carny life and its somewhat mystical characters. But I definitely see hints of Gothic and punk styles as well. All of the items are made by hand and they are all one of a kind creations. If you don't see exactly what you're looking for, just shoot them an email. Custom orders are available at your request.
The thing that got my attention in this store was, of course, the Gaston Phantom of the Opera Inspired Headband. I have never seen anything quite like it. There is so much detail on this piece, every time I look at the picture, I see something new. Note the little candelabra and the little green mask on the back. And of course the fan and rosettes give it an old world charm. This piece would be fun to wear or just use as a unique piece of decor. I know it would be perfect in my Phantom shrine.

#Phantom is Coming! Win a Phantom of the Opera Peep from The Tea Shop!
I absolutely adore The Tea Shop. I love it for its complete randomness. It has absolutely nothing to do with tea. Instead, the Tea Shop offers a mish mosh of handmade items from hand knitted scarves to personalized Valentine's Hearts that can be embroidered with just about any saying. I actually stumbled upon this shop at just the right time, because one of the coolest things that they make are their knitted peeps! Choose from well known movie inspired characters like Yoda and Darth Vader. Or step back in time with a Groucho Marx Peep. With Easter/Ostara coming up next month, why stuff your baskets with sugar when you can get a stuffed plush Peep instead? It will last a lot longer and won't rot your teeth!
Of course, for me, there is only one Peep that can capture my heart. Just look at this adorable Phantom of the Opera inspired Peep! Like me, the artist from the Tea Shop loves all things Phantom and she had found a really unique way to express her devotion to this timeless character. The Phantom Peep has it all from the black suit to a mysterious white mask. Do you think someone already took a bite and that's why he needs to cover his face? Not sure I want to see what will be revealed when that mask is stripped away-LOL But seriously, I just love this little guy. For any Phantom lovers, its definitely a must have!
