Interview Questions for Lacey Wolfe

1     Tell us a little about The Naked Truth.

This story came out of nowhere. I wrote it in about four days. The idea hit and I knew it was going to be short. I had just written two full-length and wanted something short and fun. The Naked Truth was born.

2       You have written several steamy romance novels. Were any of your male characters inspired by the real men in your life?

Very good question. While no man is based off one from the past, I have added things into the heros that my husband does. Such as in, More Than Useful, the hero hates croutons and always forgets to tell the waitress not to put them in his salad. I always eat them for him. This same scene plays out in More Than Useful.

3    Is there anything special you need to have around to set the mood for writing?

My answer used to be no, but now I am spoiled. My kids are school age and I am alone 5 days a week. I now require mainly quiet. And if anything is in the background, it need to be soft music. As far as something that sets the mood, a shower. Any time I take a shower, the ideas flow.

4      Is your family supportive of your writing career?

My husband is a champ for not kicking me out and making me get a 9-5 job. Him and my mother are the most supportive.

5    I know you are an editor as well as an author. What are some of the challenges you face as an editor?

Not wanting the author to write everything the way I would and remembering they have their own style. I read a sentence and think, I would have totally said it this way. But, I learn a lot as well.

6      Which of the characters from your books do you relate to the most?

Like with hero’s there is usually a piece of my husband, the same goes with my heroines. But, if I had to choose one, it might be Amy from More Than Useful. LOL, here we go with this book again.

Amy had to find her confidence in herself and when she did, she kicked her man to the curb because he wasn’t giving her what she needed. Confidence is something I struggle with as a person. And Amy’s personality closely matched mine.

7    What is your biggest pet peeve?

Clutter…or at least unorganized clutter. If a nice pile is pushed in a corner, it doesn’t bother me too bad. But if it’s not organized clutter, I get cranky and want to scream.

8     Do you prefer e-books or print copies? Why?

E-books. I never read from anything other than my kindle. It’s been this way over a year now. I prefer my eReader to a paperback. I like being able to customize font sizes, toss it in my purse without bending pages or losing my bookmark. And I love that no one knows what I’m reading. I’ve been known to read something steamy as I get a pedicure.

)      Do you have any upcoming projects you’d like to share with us?

My Brookfield series has been very popular. And I love it, because it’s my sweeter stories. I have two books in the work in 2013 for this ongoing in series.

1   If you could be any type of mythical creature, what would you pick and why?

I’d be a vampire. Is that too cliché? I guess they’ve been popular for so long, I’d be curious what it was really like.

Lacey Wolfe has always had a passion for words, whether it’s getting lost in a book or writing her own. From the time she was a child she would slip away to write short stories about people she knew and fantasies she wished would happen. It has always been her dream to be a published author and with her two children now of school age, she finally has the time to work on making her dream come true.
